Swift Technologies, Inc.
Executive Information Systems

In the 1990's, increased emphasis was placed on executive information. Conventional thought is that if productivity can be measured, it can be controlled. In the future, profit gains will come from improvements in productivity, not just from sales growth.

The days of measuring productivity just by annual sales increases, inventory turnover and service levels are gone.

Today's competitive environment requires far more sophisticated performance measures on a daily basis. These performance measures can provide the base line measurement requirements for a total quality management (TQM) program.

ASP300 Executive Daily Summary Report

By report or by on-line inquiry, Alliance tracks key operating statistics. Operating statistics are tracked separately by company and division and cover three main areas. These areas are: bookings, billing and cash, and shipping. All operating statistics are tracked on a daily, month-to-date and year-to-date basis.

From the bookings file, Alliance tracks the number of orders entered and the dollar value of these orders. In billing and cash, Alliance starts with the prior day's A/R balance and tracks the following:

  • Invoiced orders' dollar value
  • Credits applied
  • Cash received
  • AR adjustments
  • AR discounts

This yields AR balance current at the end of today's business.

Regarding Shipping, Alliance tracks the following:

  • Gross margin on sales
  • Gross margin percentage
  • Number of shipments
  • Number of shipments on time
  • Number of back orders
  • Order cycle time per order

Additional information on reports is available. Please contact us for more information.
